Our Summer Day-Sit will take place on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at the Puget Sound Zen Center on Vashon Island. A day of silent practice (from 8:30am – 5:15 pm) in the Rinzai Zen tradition will include zazen (seated meditation), kinhin (walking meditation) chanting, qi gong and samu (work practice.) Teacher Eko Jeff Kelley will give the dharma talk and teacher interviews (dokusan.) A simple vegetarian lunch will be served, along with drinks and snacks. Please contact registrar@pszc.org with any questions or concerns, or if you have not previously attended a day-sit. Also, two half-fee scholarships are available for those in need; please contact the registrar to inquire.
We will meet at the Puget Sound Zen Center, 18005 Vashon Hwy SW, Vashon, WA. The schedule for the day is as follows:

8:30 Tea, Zazen
10:00 Dharma Talk
10:45 Zazen and Dokusan
12:15 Lunch and break
1:15 Samu Work Practice
1:45 Qi Gong
2:15 Tea; Chanting
3:00 Zazen and Dokusan
4:15: Q & A with the Teacher
5:00 Zazen and Closing 5:15
