The Neighbor’s Lost Keys

One evening, a man came home from work and saw his neighbor looking for something under the streetlight in front of the neighbor’s house. “What are you looking for?” said the man. “I have lost my keys, and I cannot get into my home,” the neighbor replied. “Oh,” said the man sympathetically. “Let me help you search for your keys.” So the man helped the
neighbor search for the neighbor’s lost keys. When, after many minutes of looking, the lost keys had not been found, the man said to his neighbor, “Are you sure that this is where you lost your keys?” “No,” replied the neighbor. “I did not drop my keys under this streetlight; I dropped them over by my front door.” “What?” exclaimed the man. “If you dropped your keys over by your front door, then why are you searching for them here?” The neighbor replied, “There is much more light here than over by my front door; so it is much easier to search here.”
