Myokyo is the abbess and founding teacher of the Enpuku-ji Rinzai Zen temple in Montreal, an affiliate of Rinzai-ji. She trained with Joshu Sasaki Roshi from 1985 until his death in 2014. She founded Enpuku-ji in 1995.
