Bi-Annual Sangha Meeting and Election

The Board and Committees (children’s, communications, ethics, fundraising, membership, property, and programs) will report on progress and plans.

The PSZC bi-annual sangha meeting is coming up on Sunday June 9, at the Havurah Building, during a shortened 10 am service.

At the sangha meeting, eligible voting members of the sangha will be able to vote on the new Board President, Board Member and Ethics Committee position recommended by this year’s Nominating Committee.

Nominating Committee is recommending the following members for the respective positions:
Board President
Karen Hedlund (2 year term)

Board Member
Elizabeth Nelson (3 year term)

Ethics Committee Member
Sissel Johannessen (3 year term)

Eligible voting members must be up to date in their yearly membership payments at the time of the vote, or have applied for and received an exception to this requirement from the board have attended at least once quarterly for the past year, or have applied for and received an exception to this requirement from the board.

If you are eligible to vote and cannot attend and wish to give someone else your proxy, please email lynda@pszc.org to give written notification of who your proxy is before the day of the meeting. Your proxy can also let Lynda Fitzpatrick know in person that they’re representing your vote at the beginning of the meeting, with written authorization from you, before voting starts.

At least 30% of the eligible voting members of the sangha must be present, either in person or by proxy, for us to vote on these position assignments. Votes will be passed by simple majority.
