10am-12pm – Sunday Service with Dharma Talk (Gendo Allyn Field – Wisdom as Substance of Mind)

Ancient teacher Huineng ( Eno in Japanese) is credited with these words: “Going and coming freely, the substance of mind without blockage – this is prajna [wisdom].”  Gendo will explore the paradox of searching for something that is already here!
Gendo Allyn Field is lay monk and teacher in the Rinzai Zen tradition. He received ordination from Joshu Sasaki in 2003 and suijishiki (teacher ordination) from Sandy Gentei Stewart in 2013.  He is a “per diem” chaplain at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and leads Zen practice at Concord State Prison.
