Let go of 2018 and set your intention for 2019!
Please join us in welcoming the new year with mediation, singing, bell ringing, champagne, food and cider.
Schedule of events
10:30 Arrival. Write a brief letting go card, and a brief 2019 intention card
10:40 Introduction & poem from Koshin
10:50 Sitting meditation
11:10 Walking meditation. Release the letting go card into bonfire outside
11:20 Inside. Incense offering. Singing.
11:40 Intro to 108 bells. Ringing of the bells by all present
12:00 Heart Sutra. Singing. Champagne, food, and cider
If you would like to help decorate the zendo for this event please stay after the service on the MORNING of Sunday, December 30. Contributions of boughs such as cedar, fir, holly or pyracantha with berries would be welcomed. Also appreciated would be twine and clippers. There will be a tarp outside for you to place the greenery on.
